How To Install Stock Roms ?

How to Install Jelly Bean , ICS ( Ice Cream Sandwich) and Gingerbread on Xperia™ Smartphones


Flashing your phone is at your own risk and Sony would be in no way responsible for any damage whatsoever


Before Flashing : If your phone's on the original firmware that came with the mobile then dial *#*#7378423#*#* in phonepad > service info > software info > take a screenshot and keep it for future.

If you would like to backup your current firmware then follow the steps given below.

Install Jelly Bean and Ice Cream Sandwich

  1. Flashtool preparation > Download   Flashtool  and install it
    Got to C:/ drive >flashtool >firmwares >delete everything present and exit
  2. Download Official firmware from here      FIRMWARE TABLES
  3. Placing firmwares in flashtool. Note: only .ftf format files to be placed. If the file is of .rar/.zip then extract it to get .ftf file
    Copy .ftf to C:/>flashtool>firmwares
  4. Flashing
    Run Flashtool>Click on the flashing button>Select flashmode>Ok
    On they very left side you'd see the firmware name and version. In the middle the contents of it and on the very right side some options. Mark them as shown below

    Select OK. Now flashtool will prepare files and ask you to connect your phone. Follow the steps.
    On devices with no hardware back key, use volume down key while connecting

    After flashing's finished, disconnect your phone and restart it.It may take several minutes.

Installing Gingerbread / downgrading from ICS / Jelly Bean


The method to flash gingerbread is exactly the same as given above.
Just download the required firmware from the table given in post below
